Frequently Asked Questions
What is “rush” and how do I know if I’m eligible?
Rush is what we call our recruitment process, or our process of looking for members to join our organization as our next class! It’s a week-long process that occurs during Week 1, and it we take any current UCLA student in any year and any major!
When does rush occur?
Typically, we host 2 rushes a year. These usually happen during the Fall and Spring quarters, but may change depending on external circumstances.
Any tips for rush?
Rush is a place for us to get to know you and for you to get to know us. We want you to showcase your diverse interests, not just resume points. Please feel free to talk about your passion projects, what motivates you, what you do in your free time, etc. Don’t forget to ask us questions too!
What does it mean to be a professional fraternity?
Technically, this means our organization is enrolled under the Professional Fraternity Council (PFC) not the Interfraternity Council (IFC). What this means for you is that we focus on both the professional and social aspects of an organization.
What does it mean to be a business frat that focuses on entrepreneurship?
This means that our members have one thing in common: entrepreneurial spirit. This comes in the form of not only starting companies but also exploring new fields, leading initiatives, taking risks, and having an open mind. Thus, we have a diverse set of active members with a range of career interests, as opposed to just general business. We have people who have gone to: tech, consulting, banking, startups, venture capital, entertainment, engineering, law, medicine, etc.
What does the time commitment look like?
You can consider the onboarding process during the first quarter like an extra 5-unit class. After that, commitment is totally up to you! We have 1-hour weekly Active Meetings, but besides you are free to devote more/less time to our social/professional events.
